In the second week of June Community Support Services began actively patrolling in the KenBrink Area. They have had a dedicated patrol vehicle in the suburb since the 16th of June 2018.
They have placed three senior reaction officers in the suburb. Senzo, Jack and Laurence are all highly experienced, dedicated officers. They are backed up by a good group of senior staff.
In total, Community Support Services patrolled 4600 km in the dedicated vehicle and an additional 600km with secondary vehicles. Their reaction times have been the best of any security company operating in the area in June.
Sign-ups
In total, 91 households have signed up with Community Support Services. 51 Households have signed up with the R460 full package and the balance have signed up on the proactive security package or the panic package.
Given the number of sign-ups, Community Support Services have bought a second vehicle for the suburb. Currently, they have a dedicated day and night vehicle. The second vehicle will also act as a backup vehicle should the other vehicle not be available.
June Crime Rate
The KenBrink area has had the lowest crime rate this year. We had 7 incidents. Looking at the historical data it was the lowest crime rate for the month of June in the last 2 years. 4 Of which were before Community Support Services began patrolling. However, crime was lower for the whole of Sector 3 so we need to keep these numbers in perspective.
